Partnerships Manager

As AAP'S Relationship Manager, you will…

  • Work closely with the Hub Directors, Co Partnerships Director and CEO to manage the current international development project partnership (Opportunity International Australia)

  • Generate leads, open conversations and maintain relationships with corporates, small businesses, trusts and foundations and individuals

  • Creating proposals and presentations to enable partnership/sponsorship opportunities

  • Assisting the AAP team with ongoing partnership initiatives

  • Identify best practices and incorporating new ideas for partnership building

  • Take the lead on crowdfunding campaigns

This is what we feel you need to bring your best self to our team:

  • Similar experience from a past role

  • A qualification in a related field is a big plus, but certainly not everything

  • If you’re innovative and strategic in your thinking

  • Strong presentation, writing and negotiation skills, including the ability to elaborate partnership projects and grant proposals

  • Sense of initiative, discretion, mature judgment, and entrepreneurial spirit is required. Capacity to effectively interact with a multiplicity of stakeholders including senior leaders.

Events Manager

Our Events Manager ideally will be an attentive and enthusiastic team-player. This role consists of supporting our team by taking the lead in organising and running events, and working closely with our Events and Communications teams.

 

We desire a motivated individual who is looking to fill their spare time with something meaningful. It is desirable that we gain the interest of someone who is proactive self starter who will ensure the smooth running of Artists Against Poverty.

What an ideal candidate will look like:

  • Young professional, post graduate student or similar

  • Strong organisation and time management skills, and a willingness to commit ~3-5 hours a week to Artists Against Poverty

  • Passion and drive to make a difference

 

As an Events Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Work closely with the Graphic Designer to align events with our brand;

  • Plan, organise and coordinate events (e.g. art exhibitions, galas, mini artist series, social art series etc.)

  • Develop event plans, including programs/run sheets, breakdown of tasks and day-volunteer recruitment

  • Create and manage event budgets within a not-for-profit mindset to ensure income and expenses goals are met for each event

  • Improve event experience and provide creative alternatives to solve problems

  • Work closely with a broad range of professionals in the event planning field (i.e. hospitality representatives, facilities managers and volunteers).

  • Monthly dial-in meetings with the whole Artist Against Poverty Team

As a Photographer In-Residence, you will…

  • Be responsible for event photography

  • Creative photo shoots

  • Be on call whenever possible

  • Find that balance between showcasing your personal flair and embracing AAP's image

University Hub Director

Our University Hub Director will be an individual with an appetite for strategy and leadership; supporting our expansion into Universities across WA and the rest of Australia, the University Hub Director will ensure that different chapters of AAP University are independent and interdependent.

As a Co- Hub Director, you will…

  • Work closely with the Perth hub team, University Club Presidents and volunteers to enable them to maintain all relevant activities within LOVE University

  • Provide support and guidance as necessary to each University Club

  • Work with the Club Presidents and the Club Leadership Teams to specifically define actions to help AAP identify and achieve its goals

  • Support Clubs to engage with current and future partners (venue, catering, artists etc.)

  • Have a good understanding of AAP to be able to promote and inform potential partners on the benefits of engaging with AAP

  • Work with Club Presidents and artists to ensure the purpose of AAP is being fulfilled and collaboratively advertise as such

  • Ensure that every member of the University teams have the resources they need to perform their duties sufficiently

  • Other duties and responsibilities in light of changing circumstances to ensure the smooth running of AAP Universities

  • A qualification in a related field  is a big plus, but certainly not everything

  • If you’re innovative and strategic in your thinking, we LOVE that

  • Leadership: You will need to make quick, and sometimes tough decisions

  • Critical Thinking: leaders need to be able to solve problems as they pop up, analyze inefficiencies and refine procedures

  • Oral Communication: Good speaking and writing skills are key

  • Stakeholder engagement: You will be speaking with potential partners and various stakeholders, so a University Hub Director should be excellent at connecting with different people
