Founder and CEO

Artists Against Poverty

Aleesha is currently a Major
Gifts Officer at the University of Western Australia (UWA)
securing philanthropic support
for the University. She
graduated with a Bachelor of
Arts from UWA, majoring in
Political Science & International Relations and French. While at university, Aleesha started Artists Against Poverty, formally LOVE Foundation Australia.

Scott is currently a consultant at McKinsey and Company. He graduated with a Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Commerce from UWA. During his time he founded 180 Degrees Consulting WA, a not-for-profit student consultancy helping local charities.

Shakeeta is studying a Bachelor of Science at UWA, majoring in Physiology. She has been involved with AAP Foundation for two years, previously in the UWA Hub positions of Merchandise and Culture & Communications.

Zoë is completing her Honours degree in Political Science at UWA and works for the Ronald McDonald Learning Program. She was previously the WA Director of development organisation Oaktree. Zoë is passionate about sustainable development, having worked in non-profits in Nepal and Hong Kong as a New Colombo Plan Fellow. In her spare time she runs Talking Threads Project, a textile-based platform advocating for youth representation in decision-making spaces.

Olivia is finishing her post-graduate law degree at UWA, and has previously completed a Bachelor of Arts. She has worked with local community legal centres and charities in volunteer paralegal roles, and is currently pursuing a career in commercial law.


Finance Manager

Artists Against Poverty

Alexandra is studying a Master of Commerce at UWA, majoring in Business Information and Logistics management .She has a bachelor’s degree in Finance. During her Master’s degree, she has worked as a Project Officer at UWA within Community and Engagement department and has been volunteering for Pride Sports Festival as a treasurer and grants coordinator.

Kate is completing a Master of International Law and a Master of International Relations. She graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in International Relations and French. Currently, she works for Young Australians in International Affairs as a Project Officer and joined Artists Against Poverty in 2019.



People & Culture Manager

Aimee-lee is studying a double degree with a Bachelor of Science, in Psychology and Human Resource Management. Passionate humanitarian, Aimee jumped on board with LOVE on a university level 2 years ago, and has now joined the Perth Hub. Painting and Photography are amongst her admirable hobbies.



Communications Director

Kat most recently worked at JB Legal in property and construction law, and previously in private equity. She is currently taking her corporate knowledge to her own venture centered around branding, strategy and product management. She graduated with a Bachelor of Law and Commerce from UWA, studied abroad in Copenhagen, and has many creative outlets: writing, dancing, and now LOVE Foundation.



Events Director

Madeline is currently managing the UWA Girls in Engineering Outreach Program to break stereotypes and support gender equity in the STEM workforce. She graduated with Honours in English & Cultural Studies (Creative Writing) from UWA and is further exploring her artistic skills in selling her own local art under the name Kino Prints.



Graphic Designer

Samantha graduated with a

degree in Mass Communications, majoring in Graphic Communication and Web Media. Samantha works in

the property industry in marketing and design, while also running her own graphic design freelance business. She has a passion for art and design and enjoys combining these interests within her role at AAP.


Marketing Manager

Tara is studying a Bachelor of Commerce at UWA, majoring in Finance with a second major in Political Science and International Relations. She is also involved with the Economics and Commerce Students Society and has started her own online consignment company, Fashion Feature.



Communication Manager

Artists Against Poverty

Simona is a marketing professional currently working in the Property and Development sector.  She has extensive experience in the digital marketing space and is always looking for new opportunities to apply and grow her skillset. She graduated from the University of Notre Dame, Fremantle with a Bachelor of Commerce double majoring in Marketing and Public Relations. Simona enjoys applying her creativity in every role that she is in.



Independant Curator

Artists Against Poverty

Eliza Murley is an Independent Curator and student of the University of Western Australia, studying a Bachelor of Art, majoring in English and History of Art. She is the owner and curator of The Apartment Gallery, an independent alternative art space in Floreat. She has also been involved in the formation of art exhibitions at Spectrum Gallery and The Lobby. Having spent much of her childhood, and worked in more recent years, in South East Asia, Eliza is thrilled to be involved in the amazing work of Love Foundation and to participate in the development of the Perth arts community.
